Hi I'm Tina

About Me

I am a simple girl. I live with my parents and raise 2 nieces and one nephew. Family is the most important thing in my life. Though sometimes I feel like I live in my car running everyone around, I find it all fulfilling and worthwhile. When I am not running everyone around I can often be found with a book, playing with the kids, writing, playing games with the family or serving in my church callings.

Why I am a Mormon

I know God and Jesus Christ live. My father taught me from not only the Bible and the Book of Mormon, but also from the Torah and the Koran. He taught me to seek after truth and to find my own testimony. My mother taught me faith in action. I saw her keeling asking for guidance. This impressed me as a child and taught me what I should do if I ever had questions whether it was calculus, religion, art or anything that left me in need of answers. Their examples lead me to be baptized at age 8. They encouraged me as I grew to continue to question and grow. They wanted me to know for myself what is true. This has led me to hours of prayer, pondering and scripture searching. I truly know that all truth fits into the beauty that is God's plan for me. I honestly know that God, my Father in Heaven hears and answers every prayer, whether it is a yes an no or a simple the answer will come in time. I always know He is there and His warming love has kept me going through the trials I have faced and through the toughest choices that I have faced in my life. I know that none of us are alone. A loving Heavenly Father watches over each of us and though trials that come from our own actions, the actions of others, or as tests that allow our faith to grow. In each of these we are given unique gifts that allow us to grow and make it through, no matter how hard it gets.

Personal Stories

How has the Holy Ghost helped you?

I suffer from severe depression. It is often hard for me to look and immediately see good in myself or the situations that I may be in. Yet despite this every time I pray I feel a warming of my spirit. Each time I know that my Father in Heaven has a plan for me and though the path seems dark, He always loves me. Each time I question the Holy Ghost literally brings me answers from my Father in Heaven. The Holy Ghost not only comforts me and teaches me, He literally lights my darkest moments and helps me through them.

How I live my faith

I am super lucky to teach the investigators, people who are truly seeking the light from our Father in Heaven. I teach simply, often from the scriptures these basic truths. There are so many wonderful lessons to teach about Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, the Holy ghost, prophets (ancient and modern), and so many other beautiful topics. Each week I learn and grow and meet the most amazing people. I pray for them and love them, whether they join my church or not, I feel each one who has entered my class has added joy and happiness to my life.
