Hi I'm Bob

About Me

I am 52 years old and married to my best friend and my true love. We have 4 children and 3 grand children who all bring great joy and laughter into our home. I’ve been in sales for 25 years. I grew up in Spokane participating in any and every sport I could get my hands on like golf, croquet, bowling, swimming, biking, basketball, baseball, and football. Basketball became one of my favorite sports so I went on to play at the Community College.

Why I am a Mormon

I’m a convert to the church my mom joined the church when I was a young boy. Through my teenage years I liked the values that I learned from going to church and new that one day those were the same values and standards that I wanted to raise my children with. I learned that Jesus Christ atoned for my sins and for the sins of all those people who have come to this earth. I learned that we also have a Father in Heaven that loves each of his children and wants them to live worthy to return and live with him again. I learned that everyone needs to be baptized like Jesus was and also receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. I know that during these challenging times god would not leave us alone and confused in these last days. I know that god has restored his church the very church that he established when he lived on this earth. I know that he has restored his priesthood authority to perform those saving ordinances that are needed for us to be prepared for his second coming and be worthy to live with him in his kingdom. He has given us a prophet and apostles who know his will and they instruct us and guide us through challenging times. I am grateful for the scriptures both the Bible and the Book of Mormon both give me understanding and helps me know gods will for my life.

How I live my faith

The times in which we live are definitely full of great opportunities. These opportunities can be great blessings and also they can be time consuming distractions taking us away from things of great importance. I try to live my faith by remembering how important the Sabbath day is, that this day was given to us to rest from our worldly labors and a time to worship god and express our gratitude for all the blessings we have been given. I try to live my faith everyday of the week. I try to be a good husband and a good father by respecting my wife and each of my children and looking for opportunities to be of service to them daily. I strive to live by the same standards that I teach my children by. I have served in the church in different calling throughout my life and strive to serve others. I strive to be a good honest citizen and respecting others and being of service for good causes.
