Hi I'm Trudy

About Me

I am a daughter, a sister, a wife and a mother. I have spent this first half of my life, learning, dancing, singing, acting, cooking, playing, studying and exploring! LIfe has been full and I have loved every minute of it. Has it always been easy? No. Have I had times of sadness, heartbreak, loneliness and doubt? You bet. It's called Life. A favorite quote of mine that is on our refrigerator says, "This earth is not our home. We are away at school, trying to master the lessons of the 'Great plan of happiness' so we can return home.." I truly believe this. My family is my strength. We enjoy spending time together. We love to travel and see new things. We love quading in the mountains. We love the Beach! I have enjoyed watching my children grow and become the individuals they are today. I am soon going to be a Grandmother! Currently, I work with my husband in a private practice as his Office Manager. I meet fascinating people daily who come from all walks of life. I love serving the public!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a second generation mormon! My parents are converts to the church. Two missionaries found my mother on a cold day in Kansas. My father was stationed overseas with the Air Force and she was living in the states waiting for housing to become available for us to travel to be with him in the Phillipines. I am the third of four children. My parents testimonies and eventual baptisms laid the foundation for my upbringing and eventual personal conversion. We were sealed as a family in the Mesa, Arizona Temple when I was 7 years old. I still remember how I felt that day. It was very special! I married into a family with pioneer heritage, so I feel that my children have the best of both worlds! Pioneer legacy and stories from the 1800"s and current pioneer legacy and stories from the 1960's to today!

How I live my faith

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I am given many opportunities to serve others. In the church we refer to these as "callings". They do have a title such as: Primary worker (teaching children 3-11 yrs. old) or Sunday School Teacher, or Cub Scout Leader, or Young Women President, (this is being in charge of all girls ages 12-18 in your designated Ward area). I have had so many of these opportunities through the years, that I have grown both spiritually and emotionally. I have learned to love those that I serve with all my heart. We are taught that when we lose ourselves in the service of others, we tend to forget our own troubles and worries. Many of us like to serve in the Community as well. I have taken the opportunity to serve on different High School Athletic Booster Clubs and other Student Organizations. We are taught that when we serve others we are serving God. We are his angels, his hands on this earth. He needs us. That's what the Gospel of Jesus Christ is all about.
