Hi I'm Tom Bennallack
I'm a 18 year old, born and raised in Australia currently living in Colorado for a year. I'm a self-confessed party animal that loves to be in fun, upbeat environments and meeting new people at every opportunity I get. I'm one of those people that can be entertained for hours sitting in front of a camp fire watching the flames. I love playing guitar and enjoy the company of my friends and family. Thanks to my Dad and two older brothers I love a challenge and have a huge competitive nature, especially when playing sports. Which would account for my five broken arms and hundreds of stitches. I will soon be returning to Australia to go on a service mission for my church, teaching fellow Australians about what I am most passionate about, that being my religion and belief in Jesus Christ.
Why I am a Mormon
Through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I am able to live up to my full potential. I try to live my life being a good example to those around me as Jesus Christ was the perfect example. I know that living a respectful life that I will be able to one day live with him again. I am grateful that I have been able to gain for myself a knowledge of God's plan for me, to know where I came from, why I'm here and where I'm going. Through reading the Book of Mormon and asking God myself through prayer if this book is true I can now say that: I know God lives. I know he loves me personally. I know that his church is on the earth in all its glory today and that because of it I live my live full of happiness and joy.
How I live my faith
Life is good! I have the best years of life at my fingertips. What's next for me? College? Full-time work? No. Instead of continuing my education, starting my career or working towards life goals, I am spending the next two years of my life as a missionary in Melbourne, Australia teaching others about Jesus Christ and his church on the earth today! I know that Jesus Christ's church is on the earth today and that only through his church we can be saved and live with him again. I don't ask people to believe my words but invite them to find out for themselves. This can be done by simply reading the Book of Mormon and praying to ask if the contents are true just like I have for myself. Surely if this message is true then it is the most important message on the face of the planet. Why else would I give up two years of my life in service when I could be enjoying adventures with my friends and advancing my career? The Book of Mormon blesses my life daily and I know it can bless yours! All it takes is one simple act of faith.
