Hi I'm Anne
I am a proud mother of two little girls and a wife to an amazing husband who is a fantastic help, friend and companion to me. We are new to Texas and are having fun developing a small plot of land on which to raise our family. We are trying our hand in raising chickens, goats, and a few gardens yet have been more successful so far in raising fire-ants and burr weeds! Just give us time however, and we will make an Eden out of our desert. Personally, I love education and graduated from a University with a teaching degree and a degree in Ecology and Political Science. My main interests include writing and gardening, yet I also enjoy sewing, traveling, outdoor recreation, learning and experiencing new cultures (Texas has a culture all its own!), eating new foods, participating in vocal music, and enjoying the visual and performing arts.
Why I am a Mormon
I'm a Mormon because I love our Savoir, Jesus Christ and I want to follow his commandments and live his gospel. The gospel of Jesus Christ is whole and complete within this religion. Following the Savior’s example makes me a better mother, wife, daughter and friend to those I am around because I strive to develop charity, the pure love of Christ. This enables me to put life's challenges into an eternal perspective and find true happiness in service towards others and into the simple yet sweet blessings that surround us every day.
How I live my faith
My life is filled with raising my young children, developing my interests and hobbies with my husband, and participating in service within my church and community. In the past I have enjoyed helping organize holiday events and parties for my church members and others. I have also taught young children in the primary organization of my church as well as having taught teens and adolescences in the local school districts. I enjoy teaching the youth and using my talents to help others have good, educational and memorable experiences.
