I love music and playing music, as well as fishing, hunting, surfing, and playing sports with buds. I am a huge college football fan, and I love the Auburn Tigers. I'm currently preparing to serve my mission in Costa Rica, and I'm super excited!
I won't lie, I'm a Mormon because I was raised this way. But I have seen the influence of the gospel in my life numerous times. I have seen the blessings of missionary work, tithing, and service. I love the temple, and I know we can achieve true happiness in this life through Jesus Christ.
Joseph Smith was a farm boy. He grew up an ordinary boy. At one time in his life he exercised faith by the small act of prayer. This act of faith triggered a chain of events that led him to become a prophet, a great leader, and bring to pass the Lord's purposes for these the latter days. Joseph did not know he was foreordained to do this, but through his faith he became a shining example of truth, of this gospel, and of what is right. Joseph Smith was a prophet, and through divine means he translated the Book of Mormon, as well as other volumes. I know that he saw God the Father, and His son Jesus Christ in the Sacred Grove, as well as heavenly messengers.
My faith in Jesus Christ has led me out of hard times, and chastened me when I have been rebellious. I know that my faith in Christ will allow me to have great experiences in this life, with amazing people. Eventually, my faith in Christ will allow me to return and live with my Heavenly Father.
I'm going on a mission because it is my sacred duty as a member of this church, a priesthood holder, and a believer of Christ. I have felt the call, not from church leaders, or family, but from my Heavenly Father. I know that there are people in this world who want the truth, and Jesus Christ will use me to find them and deliver His message of Love and Redemption.
I'm Secretary in my branch's Elder's Quorum. I'm planning to serve a mission, and I always strive to be a friend and help to those that need me, Mormon or not.
