Nicholas Flint: Mormon.

Hi I'm Nicholas Flint

About Me

I have been married for 7 years and am the father of 2 beautiful boys. I am completing a B. S. Software Engineering degree while working full-time and caring for my family. My spare time is spent boating, fishing and watching movies with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

When I live according to the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I am happy and my family is greatly blessed. Of course I've wondered at times if Joseph Smith really was a prophet and if the Book of Mormon truly is scripture. These inquisitions have led me to take Mathew of the New Testament at his word. He said that I would know a true prophet by his fruits. The fruits of Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon are the prosperity and joy that my family and I enjoy by living according to the principles they teach. In so doing I have had the witness of the Spirit of God confirm to me that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God and that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ.

Please explain the part prayer plays in your life?

For me, prayer is my lifeline to God. It enable me to connect with my Heavenly Father each day to acknowledge blessings and request divine assistance. Prayers helps me to make sure that my desires and intentions are in line with God's will for me. It helps me to make sure I'm working toward the same goals for me that God is.

How I live my faith

I serve as the clerk for my local congregation (ward). My responsibilities include the keeping of records of our membership and managing the ward's finances. I work closely with ward leaders and ward members to ensure that no one is forgotten or left unattended. My family and I enjoy sharing aspect of our faith with our friends and family and we enjoy learning of their faith and traditions.
