Chris Pyeatt: Mormon.

Hi I'm Chris Pyeatt

About Me

I really enjoy sports a lot, I have played sports my whole life. Track, basketball, football, frisbee, and dance are some of my favorites. I'm the youngest of 8 children. I grew up out in the country and really enjoy being outside. Some of my other hobbies are computers, getting to know other people, and learning new things. I really enjoy ballroom dancing. Singing is one of my deepest passions because I know that music brings us closer to our Heavenly Father. I attended one year of college. It was a wonderful experience and I can't wait to finish my degree. I'm a single young man. I have helped raise many nephews and nieces. Family is the most important thing to me in life. My favorite thing to do is be with my family and just spend time together doing anything. I love going on nature walks and exercising.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church, however, I have still had to come to a knowledge for myself over time that it was true. There is a point in everyone's life where you need to pray and ask Heavenly Father for yourself. It's been a wonderful blessing to me to have the gospel in my life. As I pray often and ask for guidance and support the Lord never leaves me comfortless. I was born with several heart defects and I had a severe open heart surgery at 3 weeks old. I'm truly blessed to be alive today. My life is a gift from the Lord to have these experiences and enjoy life for all that it has to offer. There have been many serious medical problems I have had to overcome throughout my life, that have caused anxiety in me. However, I have chosen my faith over any medication. I know that Heavenly Father will always bless and protect me as I put my faith in Him. I know that the Lord lives and will always watch over us, He gives us challenges to overcome so that we can be strengthened in Him. Through all my trials I have always known where to turn to when I have felt hopeless or alone. As I pray I have felt of His love and know that He really lives. He brings the ultimate comfort to my soul when no body else understands and can help me. As I have discussed with many people of other religions I have always been reinforced why this is the true church on the earth today. The order and organization behind the Lord's church is great evidence. The Priesthood authority is amazing to have back on the earth for the blessing of others. I'm grateful for every opportunity I have been given to serve others throughout my life. It's through service that my testimony is really strengthened because I get to learn with and from others doing hard things. Life is full of good and bad experiences our attitude and faith is what determines the true outcomes. I know that faith in Jesus Christ and His true Church is the greatest joy and happiness we can ever feel in this life.

How I live my faith

I have been involved in many service opportunities in the church and it's wonderful to have seen and been apart of how everything just flows easily. Some how everything gets taken care of because the Lord is watching over His church. I've been able to do many service projects around the communities. I love to help my neighbors and friends do yard work, work on cars, fix the house, or plan activities. These are some ways to serve others in the community. As I have had the opportunity to go forth and share the gospel to thousands of individuals I have had countless opportunities to help others. It's been wonderful to always put a smile on someone's face because you have made their day a little easier. Everyone can always you a helping hand to cheer them up and help out. The Lord provides us with opportunities to lift the hands that hang down and stregthen our brothers and sisters. As I have taught many classes in the Church and given many talks, it's been wonderful to always strive to teach principles that I myself strive to live. I'm far from perfect but my sincere desire is to please my Heavenly Father. I know the main way I can do this is by serving His children. Many times that I have gone on visits to people in their homes, it's at a time right when they needed us to be there. Because the Holy Ghost prompted me to go there. The Lord often blesses His children through others. I know that miracles are happening everyday of our lives. We just need to be open to recognize them around us how small or big they might be. The Lord is acutely aware of each one of our individual needs because He loves us perfectly.
