Chat With a Mormon Online
I am entering my senior year of college in Indianapolis. I am a huge sports fanatic and was a student manager for basketball for 7 years. I love music. I play the violin and some piano.
I have been attending The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for my entire life. I have had countless experiences that have helped me gain a testimony of this church. I have read the Book of Mormon and have felt the spirit testify of it's truthfulness. I love that I can be with my family for all eternity. I know, with all my heart, that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and that he helped restore His true church upon this earth. I have read his account of the first vision and I just recently had an opportunity to visit the Sacred Grove and I have never felt more sure of the truthfulness of this church and the gospel. I haven't known any other religion other than The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I can't imagine my life without it.
I recently had the opportunity to go to the Hill Cumorah pageant in Palmyra, New York with a few people for the singles branch. There were protestors there and one of the signs that they had said "The Book of Mormon is a LIE." As we were walking through the parking lot to the pageant, I overheard something that has stuck with me ever since I heard it. A young boy, no older than the age of 5, said "Mommy, they're saying that The Book of Mormon is a lie...but I KNOW it's not a lie!" I hear his voice every time I read the scriptures and I too know that The Book of Mormon is true and that it is NOT a lie. It's words have brought me so much peace in times of trial and reading it not only increases my knowledge of the gospel, it bring an unmeasurable amount of joy into my life.
I was a nursery worker for three years and am currently a sunbeam teacher. I have the opportunity to teach children ages 3-4 years old. I love being able to see their testimonies grow and their knowledge of the gospel increase every week. Being a manager for the basketball teams, I have many opportunities to share my testimony and live the standards of the gospel. I try to be the best example of the church and the gospel that I can be each day that I live.
