Ellen Ketcham: Mormon.

Hi I'm Ellen Ketcham

About Me

I am the mother of 5 and grandmother of 10. I am an active Scouter and Massage Therapist. I love the out of doors and gardening. I joined the church over 40 years ago when a Girl Scout Leader started sharing with our family and I have been growing to love the Saviour more and more ever since. I love serving others wether it be at work or in the community.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Latter Day Saint/Mormon because I found the answers to all of my questions about the purpose of life and the life and death of the Savior, in my discussions with the missionaries. I love that as I have studied the scriptures and Gospel Principles I have been able to learn how to live more like Our Redeemer, Jesus Chirst. I am eternally grateful for Him. He has made it possibe for me to return to Him and to Heavenly Father with my family as we live worthy of this blessing. My hope is for all to find the peace and joy I find in living the best I can each day, the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Personal Stories

How can your talents and gifts bless others?

I have been blessed with a tender heart and an ability to relate to others. In my work as a massage therapist I have been blessed to help others through my life experiences. I gives me greater compassion and perspective that help others to heal and balance not only their muscles but their lives. As I work I often have the opportunity to bear witness of the power of forgiveness and the atonement. Muscles store emotion. As they are released, the soul and body are both rejuevenated.

How I live my faith

Living the gospel is something that seems natural to me. I love serving others and helping where ever I can. I try to love and forgive others as I work and deal with others in my work, Scouting, with my neighbors, in the community as I come in contact with hundreds of new friends each week. That is what I consider those who are new that I meet in my service. I study the gospel and pray daily that I might know better the Savior and how he would have me be. I have a lot to learn and a lot of improvement to make. I know He loves each of us and wants us to learn and grow. That is what I am trying to do and help others to do.
