Well for starters I'm the oldest nine. My mother is black and my father is white. I love my family and friends. They're awesome, supportive and I feel having that love and support is essential for getting through life. Besides spending time with them, I also enjoy drawing. It's been a passion of mine since the age of three. In addition I snowboard, dance, act, lift weights and eat. A guy has to have hobbies to keep himself occupied, right.
Even though I was born and raised in the church, I still had to gain a testimony of the gospel and for me it has come over time. Following what my parents have taught, reading the scriptures, praying, going to church, listening to the prophet, practicing all those principles and making those choices is how I've received that witness that the church is true, that the Book of Mormon is true and that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. Until we start experimenting and ask God if it is right we won't receive that confirmation that comes through his spirit or the Holy Ghost and that is why I'm a Mormon or LDS.
When we make choices, we already had a desire or motive behind that choice. For example I don't like getting into trouble so I try to make choices that would keep me out of trouble. As I continue to make those choices, such as not doing drugs, it becomes easier to make other right choices when opposition steps in.
By simply following the commandments and trying to better than I was yesterday. I do my best to read the scriptures and say my prayers daily. I also try to be a good example for my siblings by following the example Jesus Christ set for us and currently I'm serving as a full-time missionary.
