Nathan Osmond: Mormon.

Hi I'm Nathan Osmond

About Me

My name is Nathan Osmond and I am Donny & Marie's favorite nephew! I am the son of Alan Osmond the oldest performing Osmond and Suzanne Osmond. I'm the second oldest of 8 boys! I am a Country singer and recently released my first debut Country single, "SWEET" which is working its way up the charts. I grew up on the set of the Donny & Marie show and my brothers and I The Osmonds 2nd Generation have toured the globe singing in many languages. We've had 3 songs in the top 40 in the UK. I took two years out of my career to serve a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Chile, Santiago North Mission where I was able to share with the Chilean people the glad message of the restoration of Christ's church here on the earth. Upon returning, I toured for two years on the North American Tour of the hit musical, "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" and was cast as Charlie Brown in the National Tour of "You're A Good Man Charlie Brown." I was cast as President Gordon B. Hinckley's mission companion in the recent film, "Gordon B. Hinckley - A Giant Among Men." I am currently starring in a BIG show in Honolulu, HI called, "Pacific Swing Hawaii," which I produced. I am married and am the proud father of three incredible little boys.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a firm testimony of the divinity of my Savior, Jesus Christ. No greater words were ever uttered than those of the angel who said, "He is not here for He is risen, as He said" Matthew 286. Jesus lives and because He lives, so shall we live also. The word gospel literally means, "good news"...something that is not all that common in today's world. There is reason to rejoice. I know that Christ's church and priesthood the power to act in God's name have been restored to the earth. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is literally Christ's church restored to the earth. He stands at the helm and guides and directs His church through living prophets and apostles. As it says in Amos 37, "Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secrets unto his servants the prophets." I know that God is the same yesterday, today and forever and that He will not allow His children to walk in obscurity, but will provide a way for them to know find the truth. I have come to know my Savior through the pages of the Holy Bible, but my love for my Savior and understanding of His great plan of happiness is so much more clear and powerful because I have The Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon is an ancient record written by an ancient people who came from Jerusalem to the American continent between 600 BC to 400 AD. It records God's workings among the people in this land. They saw both the signs of His birth and of His death, but my favorite part is when the Lord, Jesus Christ appeared to the people on this Continent after His resurrection See 3 Nephi 11 in the Book of Mormon. In St John 1016 the Lord said, "And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice and there shall be one fold and one shepherd." I know that the "sheep" of whom the Lord spoke were the people on this continent. They saw Him descend from the Heavens and did feel the nail prints in His hands and in His feet and did bear witness that He is the Christ, the only begotten of the Father the only name under Heaven and earth whereby men may be saved. The Bible prophesied of the coming forth of the Book of Mormon. In Ezekiel 3715-19 it tells us that the stick or history of Judah and the stick or history of Joseph who was sold into Egypt would come together and be "one in our hands." We have the Bible, or the history of the Jews Judah but now we also have the record or stick of Joseph, which is contained in the Book of Mormon. As the scriptures tell us, out of the mouths of two or three witnesses will He establish all His word. I have received a spiritual witness that the Book of Mormon is true. You too can also come to know of its truthfulness by reading it, and then asking our Father in Heaven, with all sincerity of heart, in the name of Christ, if it is true. I have done this and it is the ONLY way for us to come to know the truth of all things. Don't take my word for it take it up with God. Be sure to request a FREE copy of the Book of Mormon at http//www.Mormon.org. We invite all people of all faiths to come unto Christ and live. We ask that they bring their beliefs, their heritage and all that is precious to them to the table and let us come together and share what it is we have found to be true. If we come off a little zealous, it is only because of the excitement and desire we have to share the glad message of the gospel with others. Having the restored gospel of Jesus Christ in my life is the single greatest blessing I could ever ask for. Knowing who I am in God's Kingdom and knowing that He send His son to atone for my mistakes, thus giving me a way to return home to Him someday, gives me the power to continue to push forward as I strive to overcome the daily obstacles of everyday life. As Isaiah put it, "Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow" see Isaiah 118. These are only some of the many reasons why I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints "A Mormon."

How I live my faith

I attend weekly church services where I am able to partake of the sacrament and start my week off on the right foot. I am always spiritually edified when I do so. I have served for the past two years as the primary chorister where I am able to conduct all the music for the primary children. I am also a home teacher and have several families assigned to me to visit and to share a spiritual message with on a monthly basis.
