Hi I'm Esmeralda
I'm happily married and was sealed in the temple with my husband in 2007. This is our 2nd marriage for both, our kids are from previous marriage. He has 2 daughters and I have 2 boys. I am a proud grandmother of 2 amazing kids, a 3 month old baby boy and a 2 year old baby girl. Its amazing to know that these kids are a blessing in our home. It has been very challenging but we manage to stay afloat. Our kids have benefited from our faith even though not all of them are members of the church. What gives me hope is that they get to see the blessings we receive everyday and our growing testimony.
Why I am a Mormon
I love being a member of the church. It has changed our lives for the better. YES there are always trials and challenges, after all we are human. But our Faith helps us through. My testimony of Christ and the church being restored is very much alive in my heart. My biggest regret?? Not knowing about the church sooner! I love my calling in the church and I wish I could do more. I have learned so much not only at church but also at work. I noticed i have become more receptive and more understanding towards people. My patience has grown. For people who knew me before I became a member they have seen the change it has made in my persona and I am grateful I am able to share with them the reason for my change. I know that I am a better person now, my husband and I happier, again we have our moments of craziness BUT we love every minute. I am thankful that I met him, I know that he was placed in my path for a reason and I couldn't be happier.
How can your talents and gifts bless others?
I didn't know much about my talents until I became a member of the church. I have learned to embrace them and put them to good use. I love the fact that many sisters from the church have amazing cooking skills and going to the Relief Society classes we always get to learn how to make goodies and also hand made decorations for our home. I am such a homemaker now! I am glad these people are able to give their time and patience to us.
How I live my faith
My callings at church are great. I am a visiting teacher and you have no idea how great it feels to visit the sisters and spend time with them. I have learned so much from them and my companion! The lasting friendships we have created! My calling at church gives me the opportunity to work with the youth. I love working with the Young Women and be able to make an impact in their lives. I always tell them that I have learned so much from each and every one of those girls and they occupy a very special place in my heart. I always try and find the opportunity to share the gospel with everyone I meet, and I love going out with the sister missionaries. It is a great feeling to know that I have shared my knowledge with others.
