Hi I'm Ryan
Racquetball is pretty much the thing I love most in this life. Before my mission I would play for 20 hours a week. I was just begenning professional tournaments when I decided to give all that up and leave for Washington DC. I am 20 years old. I have gone through several rounds of severe depression. One of them on my mission. One thing I have learned from these experiences is that God answers our prayers every time. I certainly would not be here if He was not listening.
Why I am a Mormon
I have never found anything else in this life that can sate the spiritual hunger I feel. I have always felt something was missing in my life until I became a Mormon.
Please explain the part prayer plays in your life?
I have a very special friend I was visiting a few years back. One night I received a text message from her telling me she was thinking of taking her own life. Before that chilling night I was not much of a prayer. But in that moment I did the only thing I could think of. I dropped to my knees and pleaded with my Heavenly Father to give me the words to say to stop my best friend of 13 years from destroying so many more lives than her own. The correct words to say entered into my mind and I promptly began to text back. She is still living today and happily married in the temple. From that night years ago a deep and abiding knowledge has entered into my heart that God answers all of our prayers perfectly every time.
How I live my faith
I am a full time missionary. From 6:30am utnil 10:30pm I live to serve others. I am called to find, teach, and baptize those people who are ready to show God their desire to follow him. I teach people and help them to make promises that draw them closer to Jesus Christ.
