Chat With a Mormon Online
Hi I'm Julie. I live in a Lynnwod which is a suburb north of Seattle where I've lived my entire life. I have been a member of the church my entire life, however it wasn't until my late teens early 20's that I really gained a testimony. I attend my local YSA (Young Single Adult) Ward where I am currently serving as a Visiting Teaching Supervisor. I work full time as an assistant Pre-K teacher. My hobbies include doing makeup for myself and friends, I love vlogging and blogging, I also love singing, dancing and acting. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
I am a mormon first and formost because I have a testimony that it is true. I can say that being a mormon my entire life it is easy to think that. But even though I was a member my entire life it wasn't until my early 20's that I truly gained testimony that it is true. I have felt the Savior's Atonment in my life and He has blessed me in SO many ways I can't even begin to describe. I know that if we "build a sure foundation, we CANNOT fail." (Helaman 5:12)
My baptism was amazing. I got baptized when I was 8 years old. I had my entire family there with me. My brother baptized me because he had just recently returned from his mission and since he had to come home early because he fell ill he didn't get a chance to baptize anyone on his mission so I wanted him to baptize me. I remember my "Grandma" talked about baptism and she made me a little white pouch with different things in it that pertain to the promises I made at my baptism. I can remember the spirt so incredibly strong and I just felt like I was on cloud 9 I was just so at peace and so proud of my decision.
Attending church services weekly is the best way to start out my week and rejuvenate me for the following week. I love hearing other peoples testimonies and seeing ways the Lord has blessed them. I also enjoy leaning about my Savior and what I can do to feel Him feel more fully in life. I enjoy spending time with friends who have the the same standards as I do. I love attending services on Sunday,
I currently am serving as a Visiting Teaching Supervisor (the progam organinzed in where 2 sisters are assigned 2-3 sisters to visit and deliver a message as well as providing any type of service to them)
