Chat With a Mormon Online
Most of my days are filled with studying, reading papers, and research but I also love to mountain bike, play racquetball, or just be outside whenever I can. And to my kids, I'm the world greatest wrestler and lego builder!
When I was in my early teens I had tough questions about life, its meaning, and my purpose in it. My teachers were kind and parents loving and I felt the support of my leaders, but nothing brought satisfactory answers and the deep meaning until I prayerfully read, studied, and pondered the Book of Mormon. I was 17. A good friend who had similar questions challenged me to read it. She promised I could know if it were true and so I agreed...fully convinced I could prove it wrong. As I read the Book of Mormon with an honest heart to really know if it were true or not its truths would touch me. I would read a passages that struck me to the core. I recognized a feeling of comfort that came from outside of myself. After sincere prayer I knew for myself the Lord had preserved the Book of Mormon for these times to testify of Christ and to help us return to Him. My testimony of the Book of Mormon is my testimony of Christ. Every since that night when I received the feeling of pure peace and assurance I have truly had a happier, more meaningful and more abundant life.
I lead a group of 80 men from 18 to 65 years old. Our focus is on helping the individuals and families in our congregation and community become better spouses, parents, siblings, neighbors and community members. We focus on the teachings of Jesus Christ which teach us that true happiness comes in service to others. As I've served those in my group I have gained experience and wisdom in serving my wife and children and our home has become a place of peace.
