Darcee: Mormon.

Hi I'm Darcee

About Me

I am a mother of six, I love Art, History, Jane Austen and traveling. I like reading, writing, drawing, and baking. I have three chihuahuas and one black lab mix. I love animals

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born into the church only one of my parents attended. Growing up that way was hard and confusing. I struggled as a teen but even back then I knew I wanted an eternal family. It took me years to reach that goal, but my family and I were finally sealed in 2003. I know my Heavenly Father loves me, I know he hears my prayers and has always given me strength to handle whatever comes my way.

Personal Stories

What are you doing to help strengthen your family and make it successful?

Having six kids including teenagers is hard but without the gospel I would definely be lost. My husband and I both work together to have a peaceful home where our kids are happy to be and their friends feel comfortable visiting. We make sure to have our family scripture study, family home evening and family prayers. We expect our kids to dress modestly, refrain from using fowl language or speaking inappropriately and to be a good example to all they come in contact with. Because of this, they are not afraid to stand up for their beliefs and standards

How I live my faith

I regularly attend church. I work with the young women and truly love seeing them at church and weekly activities. My family and I have introduced the missionaries to the neighbor kids and some of their families which have led to a few baptisms. I give as much of my time as I can to others. my family and I have regular family home evening, scripture study and prayers. I work on always being a good example which has helped my children to set a standard for themselves of how they should act and who they want their friends to be.
