Chat With a Mormon Online
I'm a college student. I play the piano and sing, occasionally arrange music, and I love to listen to it all the time. I also love baking. I love to be with my family and friends. Laughing is my favorite. I often write down the funny things people say.
I was raised in this faith, but was always encouraged to find out for myself if this really is Christ's church. I learned for myself by prayer, study, and living the principles I was taught. I knew that I felt good when I made those choices and that good feeling was the Spirit telling me this is right.
If you want to get to know somebody, the best way is to listen to what they have to say. So the best way to get to know God and become closer to Him is to listen to or read His words. The Book of Mormon contains the word of God. So as I study the Book of Mormon, I learn more about what He has said and done. It builds my faith to see that if He could help these people win their battles, He can help me with mine as well. I better recognize His hand in my life as I see the many ways He aided those people.
I get to work in our organization for women. I get to meet all the women in my ward and get to know them and see what I can do to help them. One thing I'm really learning is that we all have weaknesses and strengths and we really need each other. Everybody has something to offer, and I think that's the most amazing part of how we're organized. It's not one person's job to do everything, but all of us have some responsibility to watch out for each other and serve God.
