Hi I'm Matt
I am a father of 5. I enjoy target shooting and reloading. I am considering going back to school. I am currently the Assistant Cub Master and ARP Group Facilitator for our ward building.
Why I am a Mormon
I have been a member my entire life, however for the past 16 years I have struggled with many violations of church doctrine. As I hit bottom about a year and a half ago, I found the ARP program. It helped me to revive my testimony. It enabled me to return to full fellowship in the gospel. This has brought such peace and joy to my life.
Please explain the part prayer plays in your life?
I have a very strong testimony of prayer. It is through prayer that I have developed a relationship with and come to know Jesus Christ not only as the savior of the world, but as my personal redemer. As I have prayed I have felt His love and comfort and come to realize that He cares or us individualy. It is because of prayer that I was able to return to activity in the gospel after struggling for so long. I have reecieved answers to my prayers, maybe not the ones I wanted, but an aswer anyway. Prayer is the pathway I use to lay the burdens of this life on someone else when they become to great. Without prayer I would be lost.
How I live my faith
I have the opportunity to serve as Assistant CUb Master. It is so neat to see the boys as they work so hard to progress and to watch them grow up. I also am priviledged to be able to serve as the Addiction Recovery Program Facilitator for our building. This program changed my life and I am so thankful for the opportunity I have to be able to help others. It is wonderful to watch the Lord help those who are struggling with whatever their addiction is to overcome it and return to Him.
