Chat With a Mormon Online
I have been married for 5 years, to my best friend, and we have been blessed with 2 fun boys, and we are expecting our 3rd boy in December. My family is my most important and most valuable asset I have. I graduated college with a double major in Chemistry, and Biology, and I am currently a medical school student. I enjoy spending time with my family, it doesn't matter what we are doing, as long as we are together. I enjoy playing sports. being outside, gardening, cooking on the grill, and I am currently learning how to cook with a dutch oven.
I was born into the church, as my mom was a member, and my dad was not. When I was around 7, the missionaries started to teach my dad. I saw how happy the missionaries had made my dad, and I decided that I want that same Happiness in my life. I began to read the Book of Mormon. That book, has changed my life. Through its teachings, as well as the teachings of the Bible, I have come to find my Savior, and my Friend, Jesus Christ. After I had finished reading the Book of Mormon, I knelt down and prayed, and asked Heavenly Father, if the Book of Mormon was true. I received my answer, as a feeling of peace and comfort. My conviction of the truthfulness of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ, has been my anchor in my life. It has sustained me numerous times, especially during times of trials. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God. It has changed my life. I know Joseph Smith is and was a prophet of the Almighty God, called for our day. I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored on the Earth today, and his Church is build upon the same foundation of prophets and Apostles, with Jesus Christ being the chief corner stone, just as he had set his church up, when He was on the earth. I know that Thomas S Monson, is the prophet of God on earth today.
Prayer is a big part of my life, it is away that I can talk to my Heavenly Father, and a way that he can talk back to me. Prayer is a huge part of my life. Through Prayer, I invite Heavenly Father into my life, and help me with choices I have to make. For example, I am in my first year of Medical school, and I had to choose which Medical school to go to, knowing that this choice would not only affect me, but also my family. I knelt down and prayed, and had a conversation with My Heavenly Father about the Pro's and Con's of each school, that I had been accepted to, and asked him, which school I should go to, and I also had my wife, do the same thing, and God answered our prayers by letting each of us know separately which school we should go to.
My Faith is an active part of my life. Every day I have personal prayer, as well as Family Prayer, Personal Scripture Study, and Family Scripture Study. On Monday nights, my family has Family Home Evening, where we come together as a family, and have a gospel centered lesson. My Wife and I teach the 6-7 year old children in our Congregation, and we love it. In short, I live my faith, by trying to do what Jesus would have me do, and to live each day so that the warmth of the Savior's love can be felt by others through me.
