Hi I'm Jenny

About Me

As the wife of an optometry student and stay-at-home mom to our two beautiful children, life is busy but wonderful. Living far away from both of our families, we are learning to rely on each other and are growing closer as a little family. I have a Bachelors degree in Piano Performance and teach piano lessons out of our home to help support our family. Sometimes the days get super long at home with the kids while my husband works hard at school, but I look at my kids and remember that I am truly living my dream of being a mother and feel so blessed. It's the best job ever! I love hanging out with my husband and kids, playing the piano, photography, writing, playing games with friends, watching old movies, teaching preschool music classes, laughing, sleeping in, making smoothies and spending time with family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this to be the true gospel of Jesus Christ. Each day it brings me such happiness and joy and comfort to know that my Heavenly Father loves me and has a plan for me and my family! It is truly amazing to me to realize that God's hand is in my life guiding and helping me, and preparing me for things to come in my life. I know that because my husband and I were married in the temple, we will be able to be a family forever! Having this eternal perspective makes me so happy, and motivates me to be the best wife and mother I can be. I believe in Jesus Christ and know that He is my Savior. He died for each one of us so that we may live again, just as He lives. My Savior loves me just as He loves you!

How I live my faith

I am in charge of the music for our local congregation. I love choosing the congregational hymns and special musical numbers for our Sacrament Meetings each week, as well as playing the organ and accompanying the choir on the piano. Music is amazing, and has such an ability to help inspire people and bring the Spirit of God into our lives. One way that I share my testimony of my Savior and of the gospel is through music. I am also a visiting teacher in the church. Each month I go with my partner and visit our assigned sisters, whom I have truly come to love. We have so much fun visiting and sharing a spiritual message. I love being a member of the women's Relief Society, and I try to do what I can to serve others.
