Chat With a Mormon Online
Born in Chicago, Illinois, raised in Southern California, currently live in Utah. I was raised Catholic, and later on joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saint AKA the Mormon Church.
Because my prayers were answered.
I was baptize July 16th 2006, I barely turned 17 years old, and was and still am the only member in my family. A friend from High School introduced me in to the church. After teasing her, and many Church activities invites, I decide to attend Sacrament Meeting to see how they worship. The Elders thought that I was an inactive member of the Church, and once they found out I wasn't a member they asked if I wanted to take the discussions. After a couple missionary discussions, reading the Book of Mormon, and praying continually, I made a commitment to be baptize. When the day came I was extremely nervous, I had a lot of support from the Ward members, my family members weren't happy about my decision to be baptize, so they didn't attend my baptism. But it will still be one of the days that I'll never forget, especially how I felt. I remember feeling new, clean and forgiven of my sins, and I knew without a doubt that I did the right thing, the Lords way.
You get into the habit of making right choices and you're able to feel more confident in yourself, earn respect from others, and sometimes without even noticing you're influencing other people to make right choices, and that itself should motivate you to make right choices in your life.
There's over 350 missions in 162 nations and there over 50,000 missionaries serving in these missions. To share the gospel and to invite people to come unto Christ. I'll be participating in a mission on November 10th 2010, and I will labor in the Chile Santiago East Mission for the period of 18 months.
I have a calling at church, I try to do my visiting teaching every month, I'm preparing to go serve a mission in Santiago, Chile.
