I just graduated from high school, so I'm heading off to college this Fall to be a Dance Education major. I love dance! It's my greatest passion in life other than the gospel. I love seeing how even something like dance can relate to the gospel and my spiritual life in general. I have 5 siblings, one brother-in-law, and an adorable nephew. I enjoy listening to all kinds of music, and I love food! :
My family has been members of the church for generations, so I was born into the gospel. I am so grateful for that blessing because the gospel makes me soooooo happy! Even when I'm facing tough times--like the upcoming move to college I mentioned in the previous section--I know I can get through it. The gospel brings me a lot of comfort in knowing that no matter what I'm facing, I can find peace and be successful in life with God's help.
The Holy Ghost--or the spirit--is a member of the Godhead. We believe that by being baptized and following Christ, we can ALWAYS have the Holy Ghost with us. It's so comforting to know that I always have a member of the Godhead with me to help me make good choices or just to feel peace. The Holy Ghost has been a huge help in my dating life in knowing what situations to avoid and how to stay morally clean. It has helped me in my family life in keeping good relationships with my parents and siblings. It helps me in school by keeping me calm during important tests or helping me recall information I need to know. It affects every part of my life!
I share the gospel with my friends because I know how happy it makes me, and I want them to feel the same way. I know that you can still feel happy without the gospel, but I also know that you can have out-of-control happiness with the gospel. It makes me happy because it teaches me how to be like Christ, which brings me peace and helps me to be successful even when I'm going through hard times.
As a Mormon, I believe that my actions should be consistent throughout the week. In other words, I do my best to continue living my faith even when it's not Sunday. I try to be honest and kind, serve others, dress modestly, and use appropriate language. Service is a big part of being a Mormon, whether it's just helping out at church or visiting a neighbor.
