I love to travel, I have been to, and lived in Chuuk Micronesia for 2 years, Cheng Du, China for 4 months, and Hua Lian Taiwan for 4 months. I speak 4 languages, Chuukese (fluent), Chinese (proficient), Spanish (proficient), and English (fluent). I love sports esp. soccer and football (American football), and volleyball. If I could be anywhere in the world right now it would be on a beautiful white beach with my wife and baby, and our families playing beach soccer, or beach volleyball.
I am a Mormon because I could find no other religion on Earth that encourages me to have as personal a relationship with God the Father and Jesus Christ as this one. I am a Mormon because I have found no other religion on Earth that sanctions as in depth a knowledge of the Holy Bible as this one. I am a Mormon because it is one of the few religions which will stand up for what is right in these the latter days, where men call good evil, and evil good. I am a Mormon because I want to live with God, and become a joint ere with Jesus Christ.
I find making right choices helps me want to make more right choices because I see how much more simple my life is when I do the things God asks of me. I used to think that God made all of his commandments to gratify himself so that he could feel powerful. I used to think that God's commandments were arbitrary, and used to manipulate the masses, but now, after keeping his commandments for an extended period of time, I have realized that keeping God's commandments is in our best interest! I guarantee that anyone who will obey God's commandments will find that their lives are less complicated, more enjoyable, and more influential than any other life.
I had an experience the other day where a friend missed the whole purpose of attending church with other people. He thought that the only reason we went to church was to feel the Holy Spirit and be taught of God. True enough, that is why we go to church, but there are also another of other reason, one of which I find essential to a Gospel that attempts to perfect its members. The church meets together often to teach and learn from each other how to obey God's commandments. If it was just us trying to live the gospel, we might end up playing one gospel note over and over, but because we attend church with a host of people who act as the body of Christ, all members are edified, and none is more important than the other. (see Corinthians Chapter 12)
I live my faith by loving my wife and baby boy, and by trying to teach others by example that all people have in common the spirit of humanity. I work every day to spread that message so that people will eventually realize that no matter race, color, or creed, all people share one thing in common...life. I try to live my faith, by living for Christ and doing as much as I possibly can to stem the tide of evil that is saturating, and degrading society.
