Hi I'm Lee

About Me

I am a retired executive with the Public Affairs division of a large, global company. I have been married to my wife for 40 years. We have a son and 2 daughters who have given us 7 grandchildren. I graduated from a Methodist College in Montgomery Alabama. I love golf, reading, writing and walking. I love college football especially University of Alabama football. I now own and operate a small real estate agency in Tallahassee. I have traveled America pretty extensively and love my country.

Why I am a Mormon

I was introduced to the church by neighbors who were in the Air Force assigned to Gunter AFB in Montgomery, AL. They introduced me to two missionaries. They taught me the message of the restored gospel and I loved every facet of it. I have read the Book of Mormon several times. It truly is a second witness of Jesus Christ of whom the Old and New testaments bear record. I have read those books numerous times. I have applied the teachings of the church in my personal life and have taught them to my children. I believe it has given me and them a foundation built upon a love for and an understanding of Jesus Christ. My church is a very family oriented institution. The church teaches that the family is the basis of all that we do. We cannot be saved without our families.

Personal Stories

Why do Mormons do family history or genealogy work?

The family is the basic unit of society and is central to the teaching of the Church. I cannot be saved with out my extended family. The work we do in genealogy reflects those beliefs.. We seek out our ancestors so that we can be united with them forever, throughout eternity.

How I live my faith

I try to be a good neighbor. I have been extensively involved in my community, Tallahassee, FL. I have served as a youth baseball coach, softball coach, baseball league president, high school boosters president. I have also volunteered extensively with American Cancer Socety, Ronald McDonald House, Boy Scouts of America and the YMCA. I am a former member of Kiwanis and the Republican Club of Tallahassee. I try to let people know of my church affiliation in each venue. I am very proud of my church and believe it is a great source of good in our world.
