Matt "Wayne" Alexander: art, fun, Mormon.

Hi I'm Matt "Wayne" Alexander

About Me

I was born in Provo Utah, and I have lived all over Utah, California, and in Nevada growing up. I was living in Sandy, UT, before I left on my mission. Oddworld, Brand New, Kurt Vonnegut, George Mélies, technology, and countless other classics and alternative thingys I like! To me the concept of progression is very important. I love the process of change and repentance the Gospel brings, and strive for bigger things.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm 'Mormon,' because I've lived it, and it works. 'nuff said?

Personal Stories

Why do Mormons go on missions?

Have you ever had a book, tv show, movie, videogame, anything at all, that has meant so much to you in your life that you had to share it with everyone? A mission is that times 1000. I am on a mission because I love this gospel. I know it's true. It offers salvation. Why wouldn't I want to share that with everyone I could?

How has the Book of Mormon brought you closer to God?

I used to think that I could prove the Book of Mormon to be true, which appealed to me as a logical person. But it wasn't until being on my mission that I started seriously, deeply reading and pondering. And when I really took a leap of faith to live the principles in it. my testimony grew so much. For me, there are three Pillars of Testimony in the Book of Mormon Logic, Experience, and Spirituality.

In what ways have your prayers been answered?

I couldn't even count all of the prayers I've had answered. Everything from finding something that is to straight-miracles. Prayer works as a way to remember our blessings, get help, and meditation to receive answers.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission for the Church. I have been called to serve in the Paris, France Mission, and I will return home on March 24, 2012. This is the ultimate experience of living my faith. I don't get paid, I actually pay for it, And I donate every waking minute to teaching and learning the gospel of Jesus Christ.
