Hi I'm Janet
I was born in Argentina, and grew up in the US. I'm a newly wed and am currently in law school! I want to be an immigration attorney one day soon. I love traveling the world and exploring different cultures and food. I really enjoy feeling the sun on my face, so i love anything outdoors like hiking, camping etc. I don't like to wake up early, I love to cook because I love to eat, and I love being my with my family. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints aka Mormon.
Why I am a Mormon
Anyone who has gone through high school and college knows how difficult it can be to find oneself. Life can be stressful and difficult sometimes. It's easy to get lost without guidance. God has taught me that I am a daughter of God and he loves me. I have eternal potential and I know how valuable I am. This knowledge has given me strength and helped me become who I am. Its amazing that we are so special to God that he will help guide us and answer our prayers when we seek the truth. I have prayed to know that this is his Gospel, and I have received a witness through the peace and comfort of the Holy Ghost that it is. This is a witness that anyone can receive. I know that Heavenly Father still guides and leads us today. This life was meant to be lived to the fullest, and we are to be happy! The gospel of Christ has given me that happiness and direction in my life.
Why/How do you share the gospel with your friends?
This gospel isn't just a religion or something to do on a Sunday, it is who I am and how I live each day. Because of this all my friends and co-workers have known that I am LDS. This has made it very easy to talk about our beliefs and faiths. We are open and I take the opportunity to invite my friends to learn more by visiting mormon.org or meeting with the missionaries. I also post quotes from apostles or "mormon message" clips on my facebook regularly. Its just fun to be able to share the gospel with others. I feel that when you are loving and open others are hardly ever offended in talking about religion but are rather interested.
How I live my faith
I served for 18 months as a missionary in San Diego California. There I was able to meet some amazing people and teach everyone about our Savior Jesus Christ. It was super neat experience and enjoyed seeing the happiness one receives with the knowledge of our savior's love and sacrifice. During my final few months I was able able to serve as a missionary at the Mormon Battalion Historic Site in Old Town, San Diego. There I was able to teach the visitors about the early saint's contribution to the development of San Diego. Now I have the opportunity to visit monthly several woman at church and share with them an uplifting message prepared specifically for them. My husband and I co-teach the 16-18 year old youth at church and its a blast! Its really neat to be able to get involved and live what you believe.
