Todd: Mormon.

Hi I'm Todd

About Me

I am a college student right now and am planning on graduating in Horticulture. I also am doing a lot of ballroom dancing at school. I have ballroom danced for 11 years and love it. One of my new hobbies is cooking. I got this new hobby from my fiancé when dating her. We are planning on getting married in September of this year.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up I mostly was Mormon because my parents were Mormon but now I know for myself this church is the true and only true church on the earth today. I do not know this because of any single moment I know it because of the constant blessings I have been given throughout my life. If a world like the one we live in today is not an easy one to live in. There is a lot of bad things that go on. I often wonder way God would allow such bad things to happen but then I think of the blessing he has give me, my family and friends that are in the church. The bad things that happen in the world sadden Him but he is willing to bless us if we just have faith in him and come unto his true church. With these blessing and with the blessings of the Holy Ghost that has give me a testimony of the Book of Mormon, of living prophets, I have made my own chose to become a Mormon a member of the Church of Jesus Christ and of Latter-day Saints.

Personal Stories

Please explain the part prayer plays in your life?

Pray has always been a major part of my life. When I was young my parents taught me to pray every day. I remember getting up every morning around 6 am before my dad went to work to read scripter and pray as a family. My mother would try to have family dinner as often as we could. At every family dinner we would pray. Prayer became a regular part of life. As a child I remember the peace that I would get when I prayed. A feeling in my heart that, to me, told me that My Father in Heaven lived and loved me. But as I got older and started to be more independent and busy with life pray became less and less part of my everyday life. At these moments I remember wondering way my life was not as smooth as it had been before, way my life was not as happy as it has been. After pondering on this I came to realize that It was my lack of communicating to my Father in Heaven. I still often go through this cycle of praying often and then when life gets busy I start to pray less. But as a testimony to myself and others I know that prayer works and the lord will bless us and answer our prayers when we try to constantly pray to Him. Pray mush be consistent to yelled its full blessings.

How I live my faith

Faith is more than just believing. Faith is acting on what one believes. With this in mind I like to live my faith by acting and doing what the Lord wants me to do. The lord Jesus Christ said, “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your father which is in heaven” (Matthew 5:14-16). I try to let my light shine by going to church every Sunday. Sunday service is a special time for me to find spiritual and physical strength for the week to come. It is also a time for me be with people that have my own standards. Within the church I try to help others that are in need. The lord dose not only want our light to shine on Sunday he wants our light shine each and every day, therefore I try to keep to my standards every were I go and remember the Lord and pray to Him often. Another way that I recently showed my faith was by serving my church in Taiwan. I gave up two years and paid for myself to be on a mission. As a missionary I tried to help others understand the restored truth that God has give to his church on Earth. As I was there I was able to others change their lives and do has the Lord asked, “Let your light so shine…”
