Hi, I'm Cindi
I'm a wife and a mother. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I'm a wife. I'm a mother. I'm trying to potty train a two-year-old and house train a puppy. I'm a photographer. I'm a blogger. I'm a reader.
Why I am a Mormon
My great great grandparents joined the church in Switzerland and emigrated to the United States. They settled in a beautiful valley in Wyoming and taught their children the gospel of Jesus Christ. My parents taught me of Christ as a child. We had regular scripture study, Family Home Evening and attended the church each Sunday. I knew that they had a strong testimony of the church and over the years my own testimony grew and strengthened.
I believe that Jesus Christ lives. I believe that President Monsen is a true prophet of God who leads this church. I believe that the Book of Mormon is the word of God.
I do not doubt it and I try each day to teach my children the gospel. Even though they are small, my husband and I work to have daily scripture study, weekly Family Home Evening and attend our church meetings each week.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is family so important to Mormons?
We believe that families can be together forever. We believe that a family is an eternal bond and therefore it is especially important to love and strengthen each other. My husband and I have been married nearly 14 years. We've endured the usual struggles and will continue to work together with whatever comes our way. We love each other but we're also good friends. We have five young children and there are days when they fight so much I wonder if we are doing anything right as parents. Then, there are other days when I come in to find that they are sitting together and my oldest son is reading stories to his younger siblings. We do love each other. It takes a lot of work and time to create a loving home environment but it is oh so worth it when my little girl wraps her arms around me in a hug or my oldest daughter helps her baby sister learn to walk.
I wouldn't trade those moments for anything--even the ten weekly loads of laundry.
