Sherry Marie: Mormon.

Hi I'm Sherry Marie

About Me

A little about me... First and foremost I'm a daughter of my Father in Heaven. I'm a wife to Marc Hunter and a mother / caregiver to Mitchel and Megan Exceen. My husband and I were married and sealed for time and eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on March 17th, 2006. We also have two felines - basically I consider them my babies and I love them very much. Madeline and Jerry.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are converts into the church back in the early 70's. I grew up LDS and was baptized at age 8! I've always loved church, from the beginning until now, with a few inactive years in between I knew I was truly missing something in my life. When I was growing up, I remember going to Primary and after graduating from Primary going into Young Women's was so inspiring for me. Learning the Articles of Faith, word for word. All of the church prophets and not to mention all of the Young Women activities! There was never a dull moment. I was always busy. In 2006, I was sealed to my husband for Eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. It was my dream come true.

Personal Stories

Please share your feelings/testimony of the Restoration of the Gospel.

I testify that Jesus Christ restored the fullness of His gospel through Joseph Smith. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. I testify that The Book of Mormon is true and that there is a living prophet on the earth today. Happiness is truly found within the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm thankful that our loving Heavenly Father restored these truthes to the earth.

Why/How do you share the gospel with your friends?

I'm very upfront with my membership with "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" and absolutely love to talk to others about the church, those whom have questions or want validation about what our church's stance is on certain issues. I've shared copies of the Book of Mormon on several different occasions, brought friends to church with me and have even missionaries over to begin the lessons with a dear friend and her son. They were both baptized in 2004 after I shared my testimony with them - they decided to begin the discussions. Sometimes during a conversation a certain topic or discussion will arise with friends or even family members and it will remind me of something that I've been blessed with and I explain what my feelings are about what the Lord has planned for me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing personal studying- I study my scriptures. I try- and I do always find something to work on- to be the BEST I can be. I strengthen my testimony and my faith by attending church every Sunday and activities. My calling is District Relief Society Organizer.
