Hi I'm Todd Mattingley Fletcher.

About Me

I am a fourth generation member of the LDS church and during my life, I have fostered a love for and commitment to our Savior, Jesus Christ. I have a wonderful wife and four children - currently all under the age of 14. I have a Bachelor's degree in Business and Information Systems, co-own a media production company as well as run my own Martial Arts gym (TaeKwonDo). I enjoy running, photography, and most anything geekie . I traveled to Sweden for two years as a representative of my church - enjoying the love of teaching others about my faith, beliefs, and bring others closer to Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

From my earliest memories, a faith in Christ has been central to my family. As I matured, I have felt a powerful inner warmth from choosing a lifestyle that is centered on the teachings of Jesus Christ. There are many things in our lives that create a feeling of uncertainty. Times when we feel alone and helpless. The comfort and direction I gain from living the gospel and teachings of the LDS church are very powerful. They are the light and warmth I need to remain happy. I testify that I have felt the Spirit confirm to my soul the eternal truthfulness of this gospel, the Book of Mormon, the Bible, the life and work of Joseph Smith, and - most of all - that Jesus Christ is my Savior, the son of a caring and living God!

How I live my faith

I enjoy serving others by being a good friend and acquaintance. I consider what we do for those who cannot do anything in return as a true test of who we are. Christ has taught me this from his ultimate example. Although I strive to be a good person and follow His example, I realize that I cannot repay Him for what I have... only with my decision to choose Him. As a holder of His priesthood, I also have the opportunity to meet with various members of our congregation and offer any support they need. We discuss life's joys and trials, as well as spiritual topics that can strength the family. I am happiest and fill the most fulfilled when attempting to walk in His footsteps. Martial Arts is a big part of my life. I consider it an expression of my appreciated for what He gave us all freely - a body. My training allows me to develop self-discipline, and foster this in others as I teach. I consider one of the world's greatest failures is in lack of self-control, lack taking responsibility for our actions, lack of integrity and respect for those around us. Martial Arts is about preservation of life. Respect for it. There also also many connections to Spiritual similarities. We are spiritual beings. The same care we have take with our physical bodies should be taken with our spiritual selves - as well as caring for those around us. I have learned and I teach that it is our responsibility to defend those who need support physically. And so much more - this extends to strengthening our neighbor in all realms.
