Miracles
Miracles are often referred to as signs or wonders that are shown to those who believe. The Bible records that during His ministry, Jesus Christ performed many miracles to bless and teach the people. He healed the sick, caused the blind to see and the deaf to hear, raised the dead, walked on water, and fed the 5,000 with five barley loaves and two small fishes. Jesus performed miracles in order to show the power of God, as well as to bless and increase the faith of the people. Jesus’ greatest miracles were His Atonement and Resurrection. These allow all people to repent and be forgiven of their sins, to be resurrected after they die, and eventually to return to live with Heavenly Father. Even today, those who believe in Jesus Christ can testify to divine miracles in their own lives.
