Conflict between siblings
Conflict among siblings

Conflict among siblings is common, but it doesn’t have to take control of your family. As parents, you can influence how your children feel about each other. Do everything you can to foster affection and respect.

Here are some suggestions for increasing affection and reducing conflict among your children:

  • Help your children understand that you have enough love for everyone in your family.
  • Treat each child as an individual.
  • Build feelings of self-worth.
  • Teach your children to help each other.
  • Help your family to have fun together.
  • Reward your children when they show love to each other.
As your family works together, plays together, and helps each other, feelings of affection, unity, and pride in one another will grow over time.
