Welcome

Thank you for participating in the evaluation of The Gift of Family History.
This evaluation has ended. Major conclusions include:

Family history is a good finding tool (See "Preach My Gospel," pp. 163-165).
Widespread interest in family history makes it a good conversation topic.
People experience spiritual feelings when talking about their families, learning about the doctrine of salvation for the dead, and participating in sacred temple ordinances for deceased ancestors.
Church members with family history skills offer a service when they help others search for their ancestors.
It is best when people do their own research, assisted by members.
The guide endorsed by the First Presidency, How Do I Start My Family History?, is an excellent beginning resource.
Family history is an excellent introduction to the message of the Restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ and priesthood authority to bind on earth and in heaven.
