Chat With a Mormon Online
I am a realtor and I love my job. Working with the public is something different every day. I have been working with the public since age 5, starting with my father, then on my own when I was 14. Now in Canada, this area where work is a great diversity of language and customs, I gain knowledge by talking to them about their countries and customs. It's also good to make new friends. I was baptized at age 19. Since then, I have developed a love for all reading material. Every day I read The Book of Mormon and The Ensign Magazine. I love history and I try to read all I see. In 1998 I started a charity program as a continuation of what I was doing before with my close family. Now I have found extended family members that need help too: family, church members and schools. In A rural areas, I take everything to the children's houses by Horseback. In the city, I deliver goods to homes, churches and the hospital by motorcycle. For the sick children and newborn babies' wards, I send boxes throughout the year. The items are donated to me by family, friends and church members. It is amazing how people want to get involved. They get the same giving feeling as I do! My favorite sport is soccer, especially the World Cup and the South America Soccer Cups. Because I born on a ranch, I love to watch rodeos.
I believe I was guided to find the church by the Savior himself. I was not on good terms with my neighbor. One night I overheard him inviting my brother to a dance. I followed them. When we got to the dance hall, I saw it was a "Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints". I had never heard of it before! The happiness I saw in the faces of the girls that came to the door, giving us such a warm welcome, made me think these must be very special, happy people. From then on, the Church has been part of my life. I have no doubt that God is real, that Jesus is the Christ, that Joseph Smith saw God and Jesus in the grove. No fake Church will grow to 13 million. Anyone willing to read and pray will find out themselves what is true.
I have had several church callings since my baptism. I have found out that when you have a church calling, the Holy Ghost gives you all the inspiration and guidance pertaining to that particular calling. When you are released from the calling, life is as it was before. I know that the Lord is in control of His Church. I love to read the Ensign Our Spritual L.D.S Church Magazine. One day I was Reading and my eyes opened and could see that what I was doing was wrong and I needed to make a change in my life. Because of that experience, I gained a very strong testimony of The Ensign Church Magazine. By reading it a person can change his or her life.
